At our centre we firmly believe if children are happy and interested they will learn, learning through play is our philosophy. We a reflective planning style which allows us to cater for all children’s individual needs and therefore we can foster their interests.

Children are still making sense of the world around them and we provide an environment which is inviting, nurturing and stimulating, allowing the children to establish a positive sense of well being and belonging. Providing experiences so children can explore openly and without judgement, being positive in our guidance and assistance and introducing the children to the diversity in the world around them.

Our Goals to achieve our philosophy are:

  • To continue developing on the children’s independence skills with positive guidance, allowing them to feel confident.
  • Involving the children in decision making in their room environment, helping to establish their sense of belonging.
  • Providing open-ended experiences so the children don’t feel restricted in play.
  • Introducing the children to the concepts of the wider community by exposing them to different celebrations, events and cultures which they may be involved in outside of care.
  • To include families feedback into our program by way of surveys, open communication and the children’s journals as well as encouraging them to participate in activities with the children
