At Merri we strive to provide consistent and predictable environments for all children and families. We value the importance of bonding and attachment theories in the early years. Our staffing policies place great emphasis on the importance having consistent educators in children’s lives. All our room educators work in a room for the entire year. At the end of each year, one educator that moves up with a group of children whilst the other educator remains with a group of children that are not moving up.

Our Staffing Policy strives to provide children with a sense of stability, security and predictability. It also promotes the development of supportive learning relationships and helps to establish a learning culture within the centre.
